I provide child-centered psychotherapy services to children and families through Kidspace, a full-service therapy facility in the Mission District in San Francisco.

I also coach parents. Parenting is the hardest job in the world, and the most important. I work closely with parents to support them in this work. I draw heavily on Hand in Hand Parenting*, the approach that I wish I had known about when I was raising my own kids.

I have a gift for connecting: Young people tend to connect and open up more easily in a safe and supportive space, where they know their therapist respects them and is committed to earning their trust. Parents can trust that they will receive supportive, non-judgmental coaching. I made plenty of my own mistakes as a parent, and I appreciate how challenging it can be.

From both parent and child, I gather information and perspective about the child's unique nature and strengths, in addition to the challenges. I work to identify points of intersection between the things they're good at, the things they want for themselves, and the things their parents want for them.
I support the child's growth and healing with a variety of tools and approaches. We may use the sand tray, writing, games, breath work, free play, enactments and drama. I aim to meet the child where they are with the most effective strategies for their individual needs. I meet regularly with parents to stay in tune and continue to coordinate so that my work continues to complement and support the parenting work at home.

*I have studied Hand-in-Hand Parenting but am not a certified instructor.
